in brief Rolfe Judd brings the Alps to Vauxhall

  • Comment

Rolfe Judd has proposed a 100m-high leisure complex to tower over London's Vauxhall bridge and eclipse the showpiece buildings proposed for the area. The scheme will include an artificial ski slope starting at the top of the tower and ending in a mock winter village. A water chute will cascade into a water world and a mountain-bike track will coil around the 3.5ha site. A planning application is to be submitted in November and the complex is due to open in 2003.
