  • Comment
news

The government is trying to encourage more affordable housing by lowering thresholds in a new planning circular. The document says that local authorities should now seek an element of affordable housing in developments of 25 or more dwellings (previously 40) or on residential sites of over 1 ha, irrespective of the number of dwellings. In Inner London it now wants affordable housing in developments of 15 or more dwellings (previously 25) or on residential sites of 0.5ha or more.
