news

Sir Norman Foster is to open an exhibition devoted to his mentor Richard Buckminster Fuller which explores the use of Buckyballs, the molecule with the potential to revolutionise construction. Foster told the aj that the exhibition, at the Science Museum, was in the 'spirit of Bucky' and that he was excited about the strength-to-weight ratio of the molecule - the Buckminsterfullerene. 'Buckyballs and Beyond' opens on 6 May. A forum featuring Ove Arup's Chris Wise and the molecule's discoverer Sir Harry Kroto will debate Buckminster Fuller's legacy.
