John Thompson & Partners has won planning permission on a 78unit housing development in Peckham. The scheme includes 18 terraced houses and 60 apartments and will be developed in conjunction with Laing Homes.

Malcolm Fraser Architects has completed this 'boutique hotel' called Rick's in Edinburgh. The project was created by connecting two New Town properties by means of a glazed roof over a narrow courtyard between a Georgian tenement and a three-storey warehouse.The 10-room hotel features a 'sober' bar (above) with dark walnut panelling, purpose-built furniture, limestone floor tiles and off-white walls.
