The first in a series of annual housing innovation awards have been launched by 2000 Homes, the umbrella organisation dedicated to raising quality and innovation in housing. Consortia, partnerships and individual organisations throughout the housing sector are invited to enter the awards, which will cover processes, products and projects. The closing deadline for entries is 31 August.
These awards form part of the detr's programme for best practice in construction. They were launched by construction minister Nick Raynsford, who said: 'By improving the performance of uk homes we will create better customer satisfaction. Consumers are concerned that the product is not as satisfactory as they would like.'
