Heatherwick, Chipperfield and O'Donnell and Tuomey up for Lubetkin Prize

The RIBA has unveiled the three projects vying for this year’s Lubetkin Prize

  • UK Pavilion, World Expo 2010, in Shanghai, China by Thomas Heatherwick Studios
  • Timberyard Social Housing, in Dublin, Ireland by O’Donnell & Tuomey
  • Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Centre, Alaska, USA by David Chipperfield Architects

The award is given to an ‘outstanding work of architecture’ by a UK architect working outside the EU or a non-UK-based RIBA member working anywhere in the world. The trio, pictured on this page, were chosen from the RIBA’s 12 International Award winners, which also included Foster + Partner’s Winspear Opera House and Hopkins Architects’ Kroon Hall at Yale University, both in the US.The full list of the RIBA Award Winners is below.
