Arctic Blue glass has been used for the first time in Scotland. Supplied by Liverpool-based HansenGlass, the high-performance tinted glass was applied to the new call centre at Cumbernauld. HansenGlass provided the two-storey building with ThermoCool insulating glass units. It utilized a total area of approximately 1,000m 2of 6mm Arctic Blue and 6mm low E glass, which were glazed into an aluminium curtain wall. Arctic Blue tinted glass has superior solar properties compared with traditional float glass - low UV transmittance blocks most rays without sacrificing natural daylight.
