Groovy babies

Delegates at the recent riba/arb conference on validation of architecture schools all enjoyed a keynote address over dinner by educationalist John Worthington. All, that is, except arb's education liaison team. Eschewing the uniform of riba bigwigs for something more clubbable at dinner, they left before the speeches began, but turned up for the morning session looking a trifle weary. Sampling Birmingham's heady nightlife would certainly show a commitment to understanding the average architecture student - no doubt supporting arb chair Barbara Kelly's stated aim of taking the lead in the validation process, leaving the riba to follow as best it can.
