The task of converting the huge old ward blocks of a 1930s Scottish hospital to single-, two- or four-bed wards has involved extensive use of Hillaldam Coburn Staightaway gear on sliding doors to ensure easy access. Supplied by stockist IR Laidlaw, the Series 100 gear is most generally used, being extremely rugged in construction and well able to withstand the heavy use typical of hospitals.
