GEZE Piccadilly finds a way to improve

  • Comment

Automatic door entrances, exits and screens in a variety of different shapes and sizes are all part of the quest to make Manchester's Piccadilly Station into a world-class facility for the region, helped by door and window controls from Geze. A £60 million redevelopment has focused on the key areas of quality facilities, improved integration and easier access. The use of glazed screens and doors provides clarity of wayfinding. The main 14-platform concourse incorporates Slimdrive SL bi-parting door operators at each entrance, able to control a door leaf weight of up to 120kg, while others use the Slimdrive SLT.
