German environment suits Sauerbruch Hutton

  • Comment

Sauerbruch Hutton has won an open competition to design the headquarter offices for the German environment ministry, to be located in Dessau. The 30,000m2 four-storey scheme is on a brownfield site, and is intended to be an exemplar building for the green-sensitive ministry. 'We're delighted,' Louisa Hutton told aj this week. 'We hadn't had a competition win for a time, so this was more than welcome.' The scheme has been designed in conjunction with consultant Battle McCarthy.
