The other regular news feed I really like can be found at www.designarchitecture.com - this is a site with illustrated news stories. In your morning e-mail you get a collection of stories in the form of a brief description of the story with the URL for further and better particulars. Like all news feeds it is indiscriminate: one I liked recently was headed 'Architects Have Reasons for Built-Up Bills'. It was a rant by one Arrol Gellner against architectural education: 'When you look at how architects are trained, and how they go about seeking a reputation, it's no surprise that we're so lousy at pinching pennies. ' Gellner is a Californian architect who also teaches at a local building education institution. You can never tell what you'll get because this kind of froth is interspersed with some good hard news from around the English speaking/writing world of architecture and design.
