Malcolm Fraser Architects has completed a feasibility study into the reworking of the 17th century Burgh Halls in Linlithgow, West Lothian. Originally designed in 1668 by John Smith, the halls have undergone two major rebuilding programmes. The practice aims to improve circulation, improve disabled access, undo unsympathetic '60s revisions and insert a new stair core as a 'light-filled tank'. Malcolm Fraser won the work after a competitive process.
