Foster's and Future Systems vie for Paris museum design

Foster and Partners and Future Systems are among 15 practices longlisted to design the new Musee des Arts et Civilisation at the foot of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Housing the contents of two existing museums, the new building will have 25,000 m2 of space and cost $180 million. A shortlist of three will be announced on 4 December. Other architects on the longlist include Tadao Ando, Jean Nouvel and Peter Eisenman. There were a total of 105 entries for the competition.
