Foster and Partners' plans for a Museum of Fine Art in Boston have been stalled until the New Year due to concerns that it would be 'inappropriate'to embark on the project following the terrorist attacks on the US. Although the scheme does not include a tall building, many of the airline passengers killed on 11 September were from the city.

Meanwhile, in the City of London, construction of the 40-storey Swiss Re tower pressed ahead with the first of the 360 A-frame steel elements fitted into place last week.
