Fortune Green Road, West Hampstead by CZWG

[FIRST LOOK + PLANS] CZWG has completed this £20 million residential, retail and health-club scheme in West Hampstead, north London

The grey-brick Fortune Green Road development for the Sager Group, which includes 72 homes and an underground car park, sits on a triangular site between Fortune Green and Hampstead Cemetery.

According to the practice, ‘both the park and cemetery facades are curved, the former topped with a centre pavilion, the latter in ziggurat form [to avoid] overlooking nearby graves’.

The practice worked with structural engineers MBOK, mechanical engineers JNBE and electrical engineers Finesse. The CZWG team included Luigi Beltrandi, David Donachie, Daniel Ovadia and Simon He.

Louis Karol Architects also worked on the project.
