Reinforced concrete detailing

Examines the principles and practice of reinforcement detailing and scheduling. Based on the ise/cs document - Standard method of detailing structural concrete, with reference to the bs8110 section 'Considerations affecting design details'. The use of bs4466: 1989 - Scheduling, dimensioning, bending and cutting of steel reinforcement for concrete is also covered.

Avoiding problems with floor screeds

The floor is often seen as the poor relation in construction, and many of the problems encountered with floors stem from this premise. This course aims to improve basic knowledge of floor-screed performance in service.

Inspection, testing and repair of concrete structures

Walsall, 9-10 May

Repairs account for a large slice of construction activity. This course is designed for those new to the subject, but will update experienced hands. The course covers determination of the extent of repair needed, testing, factors causing distress, repair options and supervision of repair work.
