[Hackney] Armed with a drawing of a simple bee-house fantasy and list of instructions; participants are invited to construct accommodation for homeless bees in unused gaps of land between buildings and boundary walls anywhere in central London.

Armed with a drawing of a simple bee-house fantasy and list of instructions; participants are invited to collate recycled wood, paper, cardboard, bamboo, ply-wood etc. to construct bee-houses in unused gaps of land between buildings, all over Central London.

Ensuring a thriving community of bees and ladybirds

Bees need homes and bees pollinate flora and fauna. These new houses, constructed by the general public, add interest to any streetscape while ensuring a thriving community of bees and ladybirds across the boroughs of London.

Known simply as ‘Social Behaviour’, the project occupies the space somewhere between street art and community service, providing participants the freedom of architectural expression.
