Ford fiesta

Estate agent extraordinaire David Rosen was presented with a model of the Richard Rogers-designed Broadwick House in Soho at its opening last week.

Making the presentation was fellow architectural fan Simon Silver of developer Derwent Valley, who thanked Rosen for encouraging Derwent to commission Rogers - an act which has finally produced a scheme by the practice in the West End of London. The building has been snapped up by Ford (advised by Stephen Bayley) as its new design studio. The night was unusual in the normally torrid annals of property history: a developer giving a prize to an agent for suggesting the architect.

Large ones all round at Groucho's!
