Clerkenwell Design Week 2013

As part of Clerkewell Design Week, AJ sustainability editor Hattie Hartman will chair a panel on Sustainable Design: Measuring Impacts. The talk will feature AHEC’s Out of the Woods project where 12 RSA students designed prototype chairs whose environmental impacts were measured each step of the way.

UCL-Energy seminar: Energy modelling and the energy policy process

At this talk Professor Neil Strachan will explore the role of energy models in energy policy and the insights which they can provide.

At another of the energy conversation series, Judit Kimpian, director of sustainable architecture and research at Aedas, and Bill Bordass will discuss the gap between predicted energy performance and the actual performance buildings.


Cradle to Cradle and the circular economy

Where 23-25 Great Sutton Street, London

Sophie Thomas, co-director of design at the RSA, and co-founder of The Great Recovery project will give a talk on Cradle to Cradle design and the circular economy and how these concepts should drive innovation in sustainable design.
