This week’s events include a talk at Cullinan Studios and a debate on the future of architectural education

Delivering Sustainable Urban Landscapes


When: 12 February, 11am

Where: The Roof Gardens, Kensington

This working lunch organised by the Sustainable Water Industry Group will discuss the delivery of sustainable urban landscapes, touching on key elements such as green roofs, urban heat islands, sustainable urban drainage, ecology and biodiversity.


The Challenge of Future Cities


When: 12 February, 5.45pm

Where: UCL, Central House, 14 Upper Woburn Place

Cities are critical to sustainability. Richard Miller, head of sustainability at the Technology Strategy Board will discuss two programmes aimed at tackling the challenge of sustainable cities; the Future Cities Demonstrator and the Future Cities Catapult.


Sustainable Products and Healthy Retrofit


When: 12 February, 5.45pm

Where: Cullinan Studios, 5 Baldwin Terrace, London

This evening discussion organised by the Alliance for Sustainable Building Products will focus on healthy retrofits, looking at how sustainable products assist with this. Cullinan Studios’ BREEAM Excellent refurbishment will be used as a case study during the talks.


Future of Architectural Education

This event organised by the Architecture Student Network will debate what changes need to be made to architectural education to prepare students for the future demands of a career in architecture.
