UK-GBC wood first debate


When: 22 January, 6pm

Where: Garden Room, Museum of London

Recently Hackney Council was the first local authority in the UK to incorporate the use of timber over other construction materials into their planning policy. This sparked debate among many in the industry and this event, being held by the UK-GBC will pick up on this.

Where: The Building Centre

The latest in the series of energy conversations is entitled electric blues, and will explore the drive for clean energy and what the UK needs to do to adapt to these changes.


Retrofitting London’s homes

London Housing

When: 24 January, 8.30am

Where: The Building Centre

This half-day conference organised by the NLA will examine how London is meeting its targets to retrofit the existing housing stock.
