The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has revealed images of the first permanent bridge lifted into place inside the HOK-designed 2012 Olympic Stadium
The footbridge is one of five new bridges being constructed to connect site of the 2012 Olympic Games in London to the stadium, which is surrounded by water on three sides.
Spanning 41m, the bridge crosses the River Lea to reach the western side of the stadium. A 1,000-tonne mobile crane was required to lift the 88-tonne beams into place across the river. Decking is now being installed, and will be in place by the summer.
