Aluminium Imagination Awards As well as the £10,000 first prize for the Imagination Award, entries are invited in the following categories:

best use of extruded aluminium in a building; best use of aluminium in a building by a new architectural practice; most exciting use of colour in a building; best use of aluminum in a building outside the UK; most innovative use of aluminium in a structure or building element; and most innovative use of aluminium in a building that contributes to its sustainability. There is also an award for the subcontractor who demonstrates 'best practice'.

British Construction Industry Awards Entries are invited in several categories relevant to architects.

These are small building project;

building of the year; major project;

and international project.

Any relevant entry is also automatically entered for the Prime Minister's Better Public Buildings Award.

Stone Craft Awards Entries are invited for the Natural Stone Craft Awards 2003, organised by the Worshipful Company of Masons of London and supported by the AJ.

There are three categories in the awards, which are open to schemes built within seven miles of the Guildhall, City of London.

The first is for a new building in natural stone; the second, a substantial restoration or repair in natural stone; and the third, a monument, sculpture, lettering or carving in natural stone.

Winners will receive their award from the Duke of Gloucester at the Guildhall on 20 November, and entries will be published in the AJ. Entry forms for the awards are available from Jane Adams, email janea@sandford72. fsnet. co. uk
