FaulknerBrowns submits plans for Rochdale municipal offices

[FIRST LOOK] FaulknerBrowns Architects has submitted a planning application for this £66m civic building scheme in Rochdale, Manchester

The seven-storey and 17,000m2 project features office space, a new library, a café, a tourist information area and training and conference facilities. 

External materials were chosen to provide a ‘contemporary interpretation’ of those used on the nearby civic buildings.

Consideration has also been given to the scale and form of the proposed development to ensure that it is consistent with local and regional planning guidelines.

Situated to the north east of Manchester city centre, it is understood the development will provide employment opportunities and support to local amenity services.
