Fibrous plasterwork throws off its retro image in the curves of the new store for fashion bad-boymade-good Alexander McQueen. Architect William Russell designed a series of complex curved coves, which were prefabricated by Butcher Plasterworks. This was the most reliable way to achieve the forms quickly and with a high-quality finish. Butcher had only two weeks to make the moulds, manufacture the components and install them on site.
