Terry Farrell & Partners has been shortlisted to design a £95 million Pacific Northwest Aquarium in Seattle. Two US firms, the local practice NBBJ and EHDD Architecture of San Francisco with Hewitt Architects are also in the running. The 20,000m2 building will include education and entertainment areas and be the heart of a masterplan for the Seattle waterfront drawn up in 1994. Building work is expected to start in 2002 and end 2005.
