[London Olympics in the AJBL] The largest competition venue at the London 2012 Games will host the boxing, fencing, judo, taekwondo, table tennis, weightlifting and wrestling events

Grimshaw’s design for the extension is one of 14 Olympic projects in the Library. The extension increased the capacity of the conference centre in London’s Docklands by 50 per cent and provides 32,500m² of flat floor, column-free exhibition space, with the potential to house a 5,000 seated convention venue.

These Phase II developments will take ExCel london to a total capacity of 1,000,000 square feet of flexible space, with a new 4,500m² bespoke facilily, housing a breakout space and dedicated production kitchen capable of catering for up to 10,000 guests.

Please contact Tom Ravenscroft to include your project in the Library
