Entries are invited for this year's British Construction Industry Awards for excellence in the design, construction and delivery of buildings and civil-engineering projects. A new, sixth category, has been added: a Best Practice Award, sponsored by the Construction Best Practice Programme. The other categories are small projects (under £2 million), building and civil engineering (£2 million-£50 million), major projects (more than £50 million) and international. This year's judges are chaired by Bob Ayling, chief executive of ba. Closing date is 28 May; entry forms are available from Patricia Gordon, fax: 0171 233 1743. The awards are promoted by the aj, New Civil Engineer and the Daily Telegraph.
