For over 15 years, ELSA has been manufacturing technology for the CG market. The Gloria range is especially optimised for 3D performance, and the cards have earned a considerable reputation as powerful graphics accelerators.
ELSA has a number of strategic partnerships with significant PC manufacturers, which have lead to opportunities to optimise technologies across the board. The company also has a well-established after-sales support network (via the Internet, fax and phone), plus driver updates and extensive warranties.
The Gloria-XL is a high-performance board especially for high-end 3D applications. It has a speed-optimised design controlled by ELSA drivers, plus high-resolutions and TrueColor.
Features include a Glint MX graphics processor, a Glint Delta geometry pipeline processor for additional 3D acceleration; 18Mb VRAM plus 24Mb DRAM; and a local buffer that can be expanded to 40Mb DRAM for texture- intensive applications. The card also comes with pixel rates of 250MHz for the highest resolutions in TrueColor with ergonomic refresh rates; a 48-bit local-buffer interface, OpenGL stencil, graphics ID and textures; plus 3D resolutions of 1920x1080 or 1600x1280 pixels.
