Chris Dyson Architects has won the go-ahead for two schemes on opposite sides of Fashion Street in London’s East End
The first project, at 3-5 Fashion Street, features eight flats which will be built over an existing shop. Access to the apartments is through a comunal courtyard at the centre of the building and all are dual aspect with views of either Christ Church Spitalfields or the Moorish Market on Fashion Street.
According to the practice the external facades will be ‘made of London Stock brick [with] the detailing drawing on the Victorian industrial building to its East.’
Opposite this development at 4,6 and 8 Fashion Street the practice has also bagged approval for a three-apartment scheme above a new ground floor and basement retail unit.
The external facades of this scheme will also be in brick.
