The company producing the first seamless aerial map of the ukwas floated on the stock exchange in London last week. Getmapping.com began trading on the Alternative Investment Market at a valuation of £57.7 million. The company is investing in a complete aerial photographic record of the uk to be made available to all potential users from a single digital archive as a contemporary Domesday Book. This centrepiece product has been dubbed the 'Millennium Map' and has already won millennium product status from the Design Council.
