Design duo's stroke of Genius

  • Comment
focus briefing

London-based design duo Arash Kaynama & Kelly Sant has come up with a novel way to avoid inconspicuous scribbled notes to loved ones falling off the fridge.

The Genius range of furniture combines small tables with giant Post-It-Note-style sticky pads - ideal for doodling big ideas or messages. Genius is part of the duo's extensive collection of projects that 'reinterpret the message, significance and function of objects in their use of materials'.

Works include Glow Job, a glow-in-the-dark car that freezes passer-bys' shadows, a giant paper-clip coat hanger, and Nearly Tetris, a storage system devised from interlocking shapes that produces colourcoded compartments.
