Astragal was distressed (but not surprised) to hear about the plight of one young student this week who, having passed Part 3, contacted the arb to get registered. No reply. She tried again ... and again ... and again. It took four months just to get the form, which was duly completed. Now, one year on, after repeated requests to find out why nothing has happened, she has given up and is calling herself an architect anyway. If she is pursued, she reasons, she has good justification. Clearly the riba is right in its decision to postpone any further discussions on education with the arb until the latter gets its act together.
