A decision on the future of the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill will not be made until 17 April at the earliest. The pavilion's owner, Rother District Council, is holding a meeting of its regeneration and tourism committee on that date, when it will consider the option of selling the grade I-listed Modernist building to the private sector. Pub chain JD Wetherspoons is understood to be interested in transforming part of the public arts complex into a pub (AJ 24.2.00).
