The chairman of the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment, Stuart Lipton, will next week sit down with top government figures to drive home the importance of good design in government buildings. Lipton will meet with ministers and officials from the departments for health, education, defence, the Home Office and H M Treasury in the first such meeting to pull diverse departments together on the issue. The half-day meeting on 11 May will consider how internal government reports on design can be implemented.
