Concrete Society picks year's 'outstanding structures'

The Concrete Society has honoured 17 projects with Certificates of Excellence, to be whittled down to three main winners on 16 November.

The 11 projects in the bulding category include: Glen Howells Architects'Market Place Theatre and Arts Centre in Armagh; Foster and Partners' JC Decaux warehouse, Brentford; Jonathan Ball Practice and Metters & Wellby's Bude Light, Cornwall; Foster and Partners' Great Glass House, National Botanic Garden of Wales, Carmarthenshire; Haworth Tompkins' Royal Court Theatre redevelopment; MacCormac Jamieson Prichard's Southwark Underground Station; and Blonski Heard Architects' Milton Keynes Theatre and Art Gallery.
