EUROPAN URBAN IDEAS Europan is a biennial international design competition with the goal of helping young architects develop and promote their ideas in Europe and further afield. The theme for Europan is 'In between cities, architectural dynamics and new urbanity'.

Architects can submit designs for sites in 20 different countries, with UK sites in Hackney, Peckham and Manchester.

CONSERVATORY DESIGN UKhome improvement company Everest is to hold an open competition for the design of a conservatory, to be constructed at the Ideal Home Show in spring 2001. Open internationally to architects, designers and students, the submission deadline is 28 November 2000.


BELFAST THEATRE Competition to design a new theatre comprising a 350-seat auditorium,120-seat studio and rehearsal room.
