A monument to fallen protestors in Kyiv, a South African wildlife centre and flood defences in Boston. The editor’s pick of this week’s top competitions

The City of Kyiv has launched an open international contest for a memorial to the protestors who died during the recent uprisings in Ukraine. The monument to the ‘Heavenly Hundred Heroes’ will commemorate lives lost during the revolution at the start of this year which saw former president Viktor Yanukovych deposed [Deadline for applications 30 November]
