London’s Southbank Centre, the British Film Institute and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The editor’s pick of this week’s top competitions

London’s Southbank Centre is looking for a lead architect to revamp the 1968 Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Hayward Gallery (pictured). The scheme is the latest phase in a Rick Mather masterplan for the arts venue. [Deadline for tenders 6 June]

The British Film Institute is seeking an architect for the redevelopment of its 21 Stephen Street offices in London. The project involves refurbishment of the building’s first and ground floors, both previously used for the BFI library, which has relocated to the institute’s Southbank base. [Expressions of interest to be returned by 6 June]

The London Legacy Development Corporation is on the hunt for architects and environment and development experts for its new Quality Review Panel, which will shape the future design of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Twelve to 15 members are required ‘with expertise in all aspects of design.’ Daily pay will range from £400 to £250, depending on role. The panel will start in July 2012 with the park set to open in phases from July 2013. [Deadline for applications is 5pm 8 June]
