Larbert Loch viewing platform, Witney Corn Exchange and Chichester’s Crane Street. The editor’s pick of this week’s top competitions

Architecture and Design Scotland is seeking emerging practices to design and build a £30,000 viewing platform for patients at Forth Valley Royal Hospital on Larbert Loch (pictured). Five teams will be shortlisted and the winner will receive a £1,000 fee. [Submissions must be received by 20 April]

Witney Town Council has launched a design contest for its Grade II-listed Corn Exchange Theatre, which closed last year. Seeking new uses for the 1863 building, the project requires entrants to submit proposals for three options covering refurbishment, remodelling and redevelopment. [PQQs must be returned by 10 April]

Chichester City Centre Partnership has invited designers, artists, architects and landscapers to propose schemes to encourage visitors to make use of the city’s retail side streets – Crane Street initially with other areas set to follow. Three shortlisted entries will each receive £500 to develop their proposals, with the winner taking the commission. [Expressions of interest must be received 31 March]
