Clare County Council in Ireland is seeking a design team for a new 2,300m² library in Ennis. Serving 30,360 local residents, the three-storey building will include a library, study room and gallery. Applying teams must provide architectural, quantity surveying and engineering services [Responses due 1 April]
The University of Surrey in Guildford is on the hunt for an architect to deliver its Manor Park Student Residences project. The 1,000-room scheme features four blocks ranging from three to five storeys. The chosen architect will be expected to win planning consent and the first buildings are planned to complete by July 2017 [Completed PQQs are due 24 March]
The Architecture Foundation has launched an open international film contest focusing on architecture and nature in the capital. Shortlisted teams will feature on the AF website. The winner of the £1,000 prize will be selected by a jury and announced at the London Festival of Architecture [Deadline for submissions 14 April]
