The Brazilian Institute of Architects has launched a design contest for a new administrative headquarters for the Sound and Image Museum in Rio de Janeiro. UK architects are invited to partner with Brazilian practices to bid for the Lapa project which will include laboratories and exhibition spaces [Registration deadline 31 October]

Swansea University is on the hunt for an architect for a BREEAM Outstanding ‘innovation factory’ on its new 26 hectare Bay Campus. The winning team will complete a feasibility study for the 5,000m² facility which will feature research labs and auditoriums for postgraduate training [Deadline for requests to participate 31 October]

Midlothian Council is seeking an architect to redevelop two of its primary schools. The chosen practice will design a new £5 million school at Roslin and deliver a £13 million redevelopment of Loanhead Leisure Centre to create a new shared facility for Paradykes School and the local community [Deadline for requests to participate 17 November]
