Cornwall’s regional archives, a mixed-use development in West Hampstead and RIAI’s primary school contest. The editor’s pick of this week’s top competitions

Cornwall Council is looking for a design team to deliver a £3.5 million Kresen Kernow regional archive in a former brewery in the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site (pictured). The team will take the project to RIBA Stage D before a second funding application. [Requests to participate due by 15 November]

Camden Council is seeking architects for an ‘ambitious mixed development scheme’ in West Hampstead. Planned to complete by 2016, the £45 million Liddell Road regeneration will see the expansion of Kingsgate Primary School funded by housing sales on site [Expressions of interest are due 11 November]

The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland has launched an ideas contest to design a £5 million primary school. The 2,966m² building must feature 16 classrooms, a special needs unit and be a ‘functional, stimulating and modern’ environment capable of reproduction across Ireland. The winner will receive £8,400 with other £1,600 honorariums to be shared among those shortlisted [Entries required by 9 December]
