The Imperial War Museum (IWM) is on the hunt for an architect to re-masterplan its 56 hectare Duxford Aerodrome site in Cambridgeshire. The winner of the contract will draw up a spatial masterplan for Britain’s largest aviation museum which features nearly 200 aircraft, military vehicles and naval vessels. [Deadline for requests to participate 10 August]

The National Library of Poland in Warsaw has launched an international design competition for its internal renewal. The project will transform the city centre landmark into a ‘modern, friendly and open place’ featuring new reading rooms, meeting areas, recreational spaces and facilities for children and older people. [Deadline for requests to participate 30 July]

Ipswich Borough Council (IBC) is seeking an architect to masterplan its 52 hectare Sproughton Road development site. Purchased by the local authority last year, the former British Sugar factory next to the A14 is earmarked for re-use as an employment-led, industrial and commercial district.
