Gold Coast City Council in Australia has opened a two-stage international contest to redevelop a 110,000m² site (pictured). The competition seeks ‘compelling design concepts’, with architects free to form multidisciplinary teams. Three shortlisted teams will receive a stage two stipend of £165,500 and the winner is expected to take home a contract for design services. [Contest launches March 2013]
Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking architects for a four-year regional framework covering south-west Wales. Focusing on new housing and residential improvements, it is in two lots. The first is for projects below £3.5 million and the second for schemes of greater value. Ten consultants will be appointed [Requests to participate 6 March]
Harvard University its accepting entries to its 2013 Wheelwright travelling fellowship, worth £62,000. The international fellowship is open to architects in the early stages of their career who have graduated in the past 15 years. [Registration to be completed by 15 February]
