Manchester Airport is on the hunt for an architect to mastermind its £1 billion expansion programme. Planned to complete in 2026, the ambitious project will double capacity at the UK’s third largest airport and deliver ‘light, bright, modern facilities with the ability to accommodate future growth’. Clanmil Housing Association is searching for an architect for a 57-unit social housing scheme in Derry-Londonderry. The project will replace a disused petrol station and shop on the A40 Foyle Road in the Glenanne suburban district around one mile from the city centre. [Deadline for requests to participate 6 July]

Nottingham’s New Art Exchange is on the lookout for an architect for a £1.1 million expansion project. Planned to complete in 2017, the latest scheme will deliver new flexible workshop and meeting facilities inside the neighbouring Hyson Green Library which is being vacated.
