The Victoria and Albert Museum has launched a competition for the design and build of a major new exhibition space on Exhibition Road. The 1500m2 space will deliver a new venue for temporary exhibitions, a new museum entrance and an external courtyard space. Submissions must be received by 27 October.
1NG are looking for an architect-led design team to oversee the regeneration of Science Central, a new urban quarter in central Newcastle, integrating cutting-edge scientific organisations with a mixed use community anchored by Newcastle University. A design team is initially being sought to deliver part 1 of the masterplan to take the project through to stage L. The deadline for receipt of tenders is 27 September.
An international design competition has been announced for the reconstruction of five sites along the Medina tourist circuit in Fez, Morocco. This US $64 million project will see the design and construction of the Place Lalla Ydouna as well as the reconstruction of three 14th-century fondouks. Entrants must register their interest by 20 September.
