A competition to design a temporary Olympic Games Information Pavilion in Trafalgar Square by Architectural Competition-Concourse d’Architecture. This ideas contest seeks proposals for a freestanding information pavilion which would be built in Trafalgar Square in time for the 2012 Games. Participants must pay an entry fee of $80 which rises to $120 for period of late registration. The deadline for registration is 1 May while the ‘late’ deadline for registration is from 2 May to 15 June. The deadline for submission of entries is 30 June
The annual DawnTown Miami competition is seeking designs for a floating stage to compliment the Miami Marine Stadium which will allow the site to become a ‘great event space’ once again. The winner will receive $5000 with second place earning $2500 and third place $1000. The prizes for fourth and fifth places are $500 and $250 respectively. The registration deadline is 11 April, while all designs must be submitted by 15 April.
The Monument Circle Ideas Competition Advisory Council has launched a contest for proposals to improve the deteriorating condition of the Monument Circle area. The winning concepts will inform ‘future planning and uses’ for the area. Schemes which consider programming, land use and activities are encouraged. The submission deadline is 15 April, with judging to take place in May. An entry free of $30 is required.
