St Mary Redcliffe’s new visitor centre, a cycle hub for Leyton Jubilee Park and an artistic installation within England’s forests. The editor’s pick of this week’s leading competitions

Malcolm Reading Consultants has launched a competition for a £12-15 million visitor and community centre at St Mary Redcliffe church in Bristol. The project will create a new ‘building or buildings’ next to the Grade I-listed 15th-century landmark on the city’s celebrated Brunel Mile. [Deadline for expressions of interest 15 January]

Waltham Forest Council is seeking an architect for a £500,000 cycle hub in Leyton Jubilee Park. The project on Marsh Lane will create a new facility for cyclists within the public park by extending an existing council-owned building known as ‘The Cottage’. [Deadline for expressions of interest 4 December]

The Jerwood Foundation has launched a competition for a ‘bold and broad-thinking’ £30,000 installation within England’s Public Forest Estate. Five shortlisted teams will receive £2,000 each to develop their proposals over a six month period. Judges include muf architecture/art founding partner Katherine Clarke. [Deadline for entries 1 February]
